Alsons Power's retail electricity supply business has signed a wave of new contracts with manufacturing facilities across General Santos City and Koronadal, expanding its contestable-customer base in Region XII's industrial corridor.
The new accounts span food processing, packaging, and light manufacturing operations, each moving from their local distribution utility's default rate to a fixed-rate supply contract with APSC RES.
"Manufacturers run on thin margins and predictable costs matter to them more than almost anything else. A fixed rate lets them plan a year out instead of reacting to whatever the spot market does that month," said the company's retail sales lead.
