Alsons Power has added new continuous emissions and ambient air quality monitoring stations around its Sarangani generation facilities, expanding a network that already publishes real-time readings for nearby communities.
The additional stations cover barangays closer to the plant boundary that previously relied on periodic manual sampling, giving residents and local government units continuous, publicly accessible data instead of point-in-time readings.
"Communities living near a power plant deserve to see the same numbers we see, in real time, not a summary months later. That transparency is the whole reason this network exists," said the company's environmental compliance manager.
